Learn About the California Cognitive Assessment Battery
Neurobehavioral Systems develops high precision software used by 4,000 brain scientists around the world.
Supported by recent grants from the National Institute on Aging, NBS has leveraged this technology to create the California Cognitive Assessment Battery, a set of innovative tests of memory and cognition that can be reliably administered from individuals’ homes.
We are committed to bringing improved diagnoses and therapy to those suffering from neurological and psychiatric disease.
What We’ve Achieved
Development of the CCAB tele-medical interface. During testing, participants are continually monitored by an examiner should any problems arise.
Automated scoring via automatic speech recognition. Speech is recorded and analyzed by computers to obtain novel measures of cognitive function.
Easy setup. Our test computers connect directly to our wireless cellphone network so there is no need to worry about setup up issues or WiFi connections.
Objective analysis. We believe that CCAB testing will minimize biases in diagnosis which may arise from variations in test administrators’ speech, how they interact with patients, or how they score responses.
